The daughter of an immigrant, Yvonne's mother lived her early teen years in Europe surviving the daily fears and horrors of World War II. While growing up in New England, Yvonne experienced and witnessed first hand the multi-generational impact of trauma. During her Somatic Experiencing training, she experienced the healing that is possible when we listen to the wisdom of our bodies. Slowing down and paying attention to our body’s language is powerful work. There is an allowing of discharge and completion of the instinctual survival energies which results in a restored sense of well-being. LMFT
