*Specializing in Developmental and Relational Trauma, C-PTSD, Attachment Trauma and the strengthening the self-relationship through a spiritual lens.*
Blending Somatic Experiencing with the mystical trauma healing work of Thomas Hubl, I specialize in healing the self-relationship after a lifetime of effects from relational trauma. Why is that important? Because a healthy self-relationship is the safe container that can soothe, heal and claim the life we want to live. It is the most powerful tool we have, and we already have it. What relational trauma does to injure our self-relationship, we can restore together with practical work and attention to the messages of the body.
I am not a professional psychotherapist, more like a guide or attuned coach. I chose to work with my client's experience of their body/ psyche using Somatic Experiencing and other relevant techniques, as I find them the most direct route for permanently addressing trauma and restoring a sense of self-intimacy and agency into their lives. Together we work to change the bonds of fundamental patterning into new pathways. This is different person to person, but for most it means understanding and validating the messages in our bodies, to change the atmosphere of how we relate to ourselves. For those of us who have deeply struggled to just feel normal and good, we want to restore a sense of trust in life and in ourselves. We can try to force a change in ourselves to no avail, as our direct relationship with ourselves needs to be understood and precisely related to for lasting improvement in our life.
If we suffer from relational trauma, precise attunement is likely part of what was missing from our caregivers. I can help you develop that, as I have done it for myself. As a practitioner of these precise somatic interventions, both personally and professionally, I have found no better healing method for changing repetitive trauma patterns into possibility, choice and creativity; into liberation.
In my work, I draw from my personal experience healing Disorganized Attachment, C-PTSD and Addiction (I am 15 years sober from drugs and alcohol.) My skillset comes from my own grit and determination on my healing journey, and from the grace afforded to me by forces seen and unseen. Practically, I've tried every psych intervention under the sun including IFS, gestalt, Jungian therapy, voice dialogue, psychodynamic, CBT, etc. The most effective thing that changed my life was body-based somatic work, including Somatic Experiencing.
