Stacey G. Starre

Stacey Goldwasser Starre received her master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Southern California in 1999 and her Somatic Experiencing post-graduate work at the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute, now known as, Somatic Experiencing International, founded by Dr. Peter Levine. She also utilizes Touch-Table work from training with Kathy Kain. For 10 years, Stacey was the Director of a program at Vista Del Mar which specialized in working with newborns through age 18 in foster care, as well as supervised interns and licensed clinical staff. Her somatic practice works with infants and new moms, children, teens and adults working through current challenges and uncomfortable feelings; physical symptoms, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias. She utilizes infant massage as well as touch work to help regulate infant nervous systems and will teach parents simple, hands on skills to use with their infant. Parents can expect to see their infant calmer and easier to soothe. Stacey has also assisted in regulating male newborns nervous systems prior to and after circumscision/Bris procedure in the hospital and or home/temple to keep them calm and work through the trauma.
