Roushan Martens

I have been a practising complementary therapist since 2003, and am an accredited trainer and advanced practitioner in EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and massage therapist, in addition to my work with Somatic Experiencing. I worked as a therapist with clients at Edinburgh Rape Crisis for eight years, and am passionate about helping survivors of rape and sexual abuse (and anyone!) reclaim their resilience, their aliveness and their capacity for joy.

I work with a variety of clients, not only survivors of rape and sexual abuse, but those dealing with chronic illness or injury, toxic work situations, large life stresses or changes, or the ongoing effects of a childhood spent with parents or caregivers who were unable to meet their needs.

Many people can't identify a particular trauma or incident, but are just aware that something is not right, and want to find a way to negotiate life with greater ease, strength and enjoyment. It is my great pleasure and honour to support all clients in doing this.
