I didn’t learn everything that I know from textbooks or the many trainings that I have attended over the years. I did a lot of figuring things out the hard way; through experience or what I often refer to as "the school of hard knocks." For years I endured my own struggle with pain, anxiety, depression, symptoms of all kinds, and patterns that were not serving me. I didn’t even consider that I was a trauma survivor or how dysregulated my nervous system was. In my narrow minded, uninformed world, trauma only applied to someone like a war vet. I thought that I had just been dealt a bad hand in life. I normalized my painful experiences, not realizing that they were why I was suffering and kept pushing until I no longer could.

Thankfully, my personal healing journey began over two and a half decades ago with somatic bodywork, evolving into my own trauma-informed, integrative practice. It's been a privilege to witness the profound impact of my work on my clients as they find relief and make transformative changes.
