Ofelia León - Featherstone

Ofelia has been offering support in the mental health field since 2003 and is currently in private practice. She has been involved with the Suicide bereavement and caregivers community in Edmonton since 2012. Ofelia combines her professional training in Somatic Experiencing, Schema Therapy, Gestalt Psychotherapy, NeuroAffetive Touch with Compassion Focused Therapy. Ofelia is Canadian citizen whose heritage includes cultures and ethnicities from Venezuela, Africa, the Canary Islands, and Indigenous (from Central and South America). Ofelia offers accountable-welcoming space for gender identity and sexual orientation fluidity, respecting diverse self-discovery processes… "To feel well we must befriend the community within ourselves with kindness and dignity".

Ofelia has received SEI approval to provide Personal Sessions at all SE levels and to offer Individual Case Consults at the INT level. She has been a training assistant for the core training since 2015. She assisted in the Pain Syndromes Master Class with Peter Levine, the Master class on Syndromes in Japan with Dave Berger, SE Senior Faculty. As well as, for The Eye of the Needle Master Class with Dave and Abi in Saskatoon, Canada. Ofelia’s latest SE undertakings include a Master Class on Transgenerational Trauma, Concussions and PTSD with Dave, Family Constellation with a Somatic Experiencing lens with Efu Nyaki, SE Faculty, and NeuroAffective Touch training with Aline LaPierre. Lately, Ofelia is moslty supporting BIPOC cohorts and online cohorts with Lael Keen, Senior SE Faculty. Ofelia is committed to continue assisting the in-person training team for the 4th generation cohort in Mexico until 2026. Ofelia values kindness, quiet wisdom, and generosity.
