Michael Rooney

Michael specialises in the assessment and treatment of sex and pornography addiction, betrayal partner trauma and mother son enmeshment. He works in private practice in Melbourne, Australia with clients from the Asia Pacific Region (including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and China) and Europe (Ireland & the UK). Very often, people with addictions have early life underlying trauma that has not been processed. Trauma is stored in the body and traditional ‘talk therapy’ cannot access it. He uses Somatic Experiencing to help people process trauma that is stored in the deeper parts of the brain.
