Leslee D. Cook is a Marriage Family Therapist in independent practice. Due to the Covid pandemic, she is using telehealth conferencing via Zoom. Leslee specializes in Somatic Experiencing a neuro-biological, mind/ body focused form of psychotherapy, aimed at reducing the effects of a dysregulated nervous system due to traumatic-stress related issues including Post Traumatic Stress, Dissociation, Fibromyalgia, Anxiety, Addictions- of all types, Phobias, Psycho-Somatic body pain, chronic pain, most likely stemming from shock or developmental/relational traumas. Leslee believes working holistically with the mind, body, and spirit is the most powerful way to heal from the traumatic events that occurred during our lifetimes. Leslee believes most mental health symptoms have their origin from traumatic developmental events rather than being deficits or disorders. These symptoms can effectively and rather quickly be resolved through Somatic Experiencing, a gentle body-based therapy that helps re-regulate the nervous system. Leslee is excited and passionate about helping individuals achieve self-regulation, an improved self-image, an enhanced capacity for relationships while eliminating self-defeating behavioral patterns.
