I am approved to provide personal sessions, individual consults and group case consults to Somatic Experiencing students at all levels.
I believe in the potential of all human beings to grow, change, and develop in ways that enrich themselves and those around them. Unfortunately, pain is often the touchstone of growth. Explored wisely, however, such pain can lead us to deeper understandings of ourselves and the world around us. Psychotherapy can be a valuable tool for turning our personal pain into personal growth.
I have over 30 years experience working with issues that have great impact on the LGBT community (HIV, depression, anxiety, substance use, and relational issues). I have a deep understanding of how these issues are often inter-woven and can keep us from becoming the people we want to be.
I take an interpersonal, relational approach to the practice of psychotherapy; focusing on the inter-relatedness of our experience in the world with those about us, and the ways in which our own experiential histories impact the way we look at, feel about, and process current life events.
