My formal study of the human body began over 15 years ago, which led me to obtain a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2011. Since that time, I have worked as a licensed physical therapist in a variety of settings. I deeply value evidence-based approaches, especially those rooted in the burgeoning mind-body medicine realm. However, my practice cannot ignore the therapeutic value of embodied attunement, curiosity, and intuition.
I consider myself an ongoing and grateful student, an enthusiast of the human body, in all of its complexity and nuances. The more I learn about the body, the more I discover. Use of touch work is perhaps where my passion burns brightest; however, the teachings of Feldenkrais and Body-Mind Centering also illuminate the ways I explore movement which are outside of our habitual patterns.
