Greetings, I am a visitor on Treaty 6 territory. I am of mixed ancestry and follow Kanienʼkeháka (Mohawk) teachings after my adoption into a Longhouse family many years ago. I have been working in the fields of trauma, grief and loss, mental health and addictions, as well as domestic and sexual violence for 40+ years with Indigenous families and communities, government services, mental health and addictions services, and community groups.

My clinical social work practice is trauma-informed/specific, decolonizing, anti-oppressive/anti-racist, and holistic: Incorporating Somatic Experiencing, sensorimotor psychotherapy, attachment-based approaches, EMDR, CBT, expressive arts and other contemporary modalities and traditional Indigenous ways of knowing and healing in a two-eyed seeing way (as culturally appropriate). Areas of specialization include but are not limited to trauma resolution from PTSD (traumatic life events including sexual and domestic violence, natural and human-made disasters, accidents, work-related secondary trauma), developmental and complex trauma from childhood adverse experiences, intergenerational/historical/racialized trauma, anxiety, and depression. I work primarily with individuals (18 years and over) and also provide group therapy (with SE incorporated into the group process) and trauma-informed clinical supervision.
