Jenny Randt

For the past several years I have split my time between working with kids and their families at the Child Therapy Institute in San Pablo California, and my adult private practice in Berkeley. This allows me to serve different populations, races, cultures, and ideally to give back to my community via service. I have also worked with pre-school children through Head Start in Richmond, CA. Bringing together Somatic Experiencing and working with children is often easy and fun, and other times like speaking a foreign language that needs translation. I'm still working on it. I'm forever a novice. I love the work and am committed to it both as a client and a practitioner.

I have also coordinated for the past six years and started assisting in 2019. I love the process and continue to absorb new material. Sometimes working with my clients feels like magic and I will continue to do it because I can offer people hope. Change is possible!

I also have a Master's degree in Somatic Psychotherapy and blend other foundational tools into my work such as Hakomi, SensoriMotor, Mindfulness, Attachment Theory, Object Relations, Relational, Family Systems, etc. I cater to my client's needs and appreciate the foundational support of Somatic Experiencing.
