Jem Gay

Jem is a non-binary facilitator and somatic practitioner with over six years of experience in leading somatic-based, trauma-informed well-being programs. Their work includes developing and facilitating nervous system-based programs for children and young adults from socioeconomically disadvantaged communities with diverse and complex experiences, offering safe spaces to foster connection and belonging.

Jem has co-led trainings and workshops for frontline workers, teaching foundational trauma-informed theory and practices to nurture resilience, reduce burnout, and cultivate collective care within organizational environments.

Dedicated to supporting resilience, connection, and belonging within individuals and communities, Jem draws on somatic, liberative, contemplative (Buddhist and Yogic), and nature-based approaches. In their private practice, Jem offers a compassionate refuge to help individuals reconnect with their bodies, renegotiate chronic stress or trauma, and rediscover a sense of aliveness and belonging within the more-than-human world.
