I offer a holistic integrative approach to psychotherapy and tailor my approach to the emotional, physical and creative needs of each client. I bring to my practice a wealth of life experience to compliment my clinical expertise. I am an active and empathetic listener and understand that developing a strong therapeutic relationship depends on establishing safety and trust.

As a clinical frame, I have found that the combination of a psychodynamic psychotherapy lens and the embodiment practice of somatic experiencing provides a flexible, effective way of approaching the myriad and complex reasons that people come to therapy. I combine these with other talk therapy and mind-body practices depending upon the individual.

In treatment when there is a good fit between the two people, the person seeking therapy often feels a great relief from long-held burdens and experiences being seen and known in different way. Often new things begin to happen and sometimes people feel ready to explore things they had no room for before. A space opens up to experience self-compassion and deep reflection, which can often alleviate symptoms and lead to lasting change. People come to understand that their past does not need to define them. They are able discover that the meaning they make of their lives can lead to more fulfilling relationships, and can come to understand that insight leads to the ability to make better choices in the future.
