Estelle Fineberg

Estelle Fineberg, is licensed in Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Massage Therapy. She is a Trainer, Educator and Practitioner in Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy. She is a Board Certified Diplomate in Social Work. Estelle is one of a few practitioners who are both licensed and fully trained in mental health and body work. Over 38 years she has continued to integrate many different modalities into her work for a holistic approach to healing. She uses her training in verbal psychotherapy, action oriented psychotherapy and somatic/body oriented therapy in her work with clients.

I have come to understand that healing is best when it comes from a mind/body approach. Sometimes the way in is through the mind and sometimes it is within the body. A clue may be through a word, gesture, breath etc. I have found Somatic Experiencing to be a safe and naturalistic approach to promote self-regulation, integration and resolve of traumatic stress and the debilitating symptoms of trauma.
