Erin Sean O'Mara

I am a Relational Pyschoanalyst and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner who integrates both forms of treatment into my practice, particularly with individuals suffering from extensive developmental trauma. I treat many clients working in artistic fields, and find that getting in touch with the body often opens up new creative potentials. I also treat clients in recovery from various addictions, as well as family members of those with addiction. People suffering from addiction typically struggle with the mind-body-spirit connection, and I find that SE compliments recovery work well. Finally, I treat a subgroup of women who are considering testing for, or who have been diagnosed with, the breast and ovarian cancer gene (BRCA positive). These women are faced with making devastating decisions about invasive medical procedures and/or painful lifelong surveillance. SE is helpful for pre-surgery mind-body regulation, and for post-surgery reintegration of bodily changes.
