Dr. Nick Monzon

Hello there,
I am a doctor of clinical psychology (Psy.D), and a somatic experiencing practitioner from California. I have been in the healing arts since 2015. I have worked with numerous types of traumatic events including sexual assault, sexual abuse, childhood sexual trauma as an adult, spousal assault, parental abuse as a child, childhood bullying, childhood neglect or abandonment, bullying from a medical or psychological issue, medical trauma, car accidents, trauma from a criminal act, bodily harm from an accident, sudden death of a loved one, and interpersonal violence.

I have worked with clients aged 13 to 100 from various cultures, backgrounds, and genders. I am a firm ally of the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities. I have experience helping first generation clients and those who suffer from generational trauma.

As an active member of the SEP community, I am a current assistant for some of the San Diego trainings.

I utilize a combination of psychodynamic and somatic experiencing, enabling deep processing and healing. I firmly believe in going at a comfortable pace and allowing the space needed for true healing to occur.
