Deborah A. Hart

I was so excited to have completed my Somatic Experiencing training and being a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (August 2020), loving the work; and knowing learning is a journey for life. I started the vision of this training years ago at an EMDR international training where Peter Levine presented a day and a half workshop. This part of the journey, as most journeys; has many paths. I have in the last years continued to train with Peter Levine, Efu Nyaki; and Sage Hayes in transgenerational trauma and resilience; Raja Selvam, in development trauma; Kimberly Ann Johnson, (1 year leadership group) and jaguar groups for several years.

Since 1993, I have provided individual, and group therapy to children and adults in a private setting at the Hart Within practice in Gainesville, Florida. The Hart Within is located at a home originally built in 1948, and presently is an office that has been set up to be a comfortable and safe place for healing, and transformative work for children and adults. We have two sweet therapy cats that can be and are often present during sessions.
