Hello beautiful beings! My name is Cartelia Kennedy and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and SEP. I am the owner of Wellness Work Counseling Service, a solo private practice here in the lovely city of Austin, Texas. I provide individual, and group psychotherapy to adolescents and adults, offering tools that allow clients to identify a deeper connection with mind and body, and to promote behavioral transformations that help manifest a life that’s aligned with their core values. I am excited and passionate about being able to integrate practices such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy and EMDR along with Somatic Experiencing practices within the mental health setting. My work focuses on those who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions and developmental and or complex traumas. I am also a Registered yoga teacher, 200-hours in trauma-Conscious Hatha yoga, and 300 -hours in Kaiut Yoga. Gentle Somatic movement such as yoga is a perfect modality to integrate into therapy as it act as resource to help client bring mind and body together and move the client toward regulation.
