I am proud to serve as SE Faculty. I am trained as a Somatic Psychotherapist and have been involved in introducing SE to individuals and communities internationally for nearly 20 years now.

I started my career off as a humanitarian aid worker and activist in Asia working with Burmese refugees, and since then, I have been passionate about healing personal and collective trauma.

I have had the great fortune to serve on a number of trauma response teams using SE around the world, including introducing SE to mainland China after devastating earthquakes, training first responders in New Orleans post-Katrina, and supporting my local communities in Northern California after major wildfires.

I live in Northern California (Mendocino County) where I am a Psychology Professor at Sonoma State University and Mendocino College. I also have a private practice where I specialize in addressing developmental trauma. I spent previous years working in community mental health with at-risk youth and families. I also currently work as a consultant and clinical contractor for several educational organizations and mental health agencies, including local organizations serving underserved individuals and communities.

My specialization is in working with Complex Trauma (C-PTSD): attachment, relational, developmental and transgenerational trauma. I am also Senior Faculty of the NARM Training Institute, which supports trainings for mental health professionals in the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) for healing developmental trauma.

I am passionate about trauma-informed care and supporting the evolution of our understanding of trauma. Beyond just the therapy room, I believe this trauma-informed movement extends out to communities everywhere dealing with systemic, cultural and transgenerational trauma. I believe that trauma healing can shift worldwide patterns of injustice, conflict and violence, and bring about a healthier world. We're all in this together!

I am honored to be part of the Somatic Experiencing community and share in this transformative process of healing trauma.
