Bernadette Talia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW # 24868), I have been assisting in Somatic Experiencing (SE) trainings since 2005 and I am a qualified provider for individual and consultation sessions to students in levels beginning through advanced in SE Trainings. I am EMDR Part I, and Part II Trauma Recovery EMDR Humanitarian Assistance Programs Trainer and Facilitator, Approved Consultant in EMDR and Certified in EMDR. I am Certified Gottman Method Couples’ Therapist. I Co-Founded Chaldean Middle Eastern Social Services (CMSS) Program in San Diego and I founded Angels of Hope Counseling services where I currently offer Counseling. I worked for East County Mental Health Clinic for more than 11 Years, and I worked as a Clinical Director for Survivor of Torture Program at CMSS. I have provided Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills Training Groups, and educational groups in Arabic to both Men and Women. Cultural sensitivity is very important to me as a Middle Eastern Chaldean Therapist who speaks Arabic and Aramaic. I have been providing Cross-Cultural Trainings on Iraqi population to bring awareness, sensitivity and education in the East County Region and through out San Diego County. I have counseled individuals, couples, families and groups of many cultures with a variety of treatment needs. My clients appreciate the fact that I am genuine, and passionate about my work. My style tends to be informal, high on support, warmth, compassion, honesty and understanding.
