It all started over the cadavers. Ok not exactly, but it did start in my college anatomy class. Taking anatomy made me realize that the 4 year old me that wanted to make people better was definitely on to something. My needle phobia and my desire to help others feel better led me to the Utah College of Massage Therapy in 1997.After practicing Massage Therapy for a few years I started really looking at what makes us hurt. This led me on an amazing journey of discovery of how to look at a body holistically. What is happening mentally and emotionally really does effect the physical body in profound ways, and surprisingly, the reverse is true as well! I learned how dysfunction in one area of the body ripples out and causes pain and dysfunction in other areas. That is when I found Ortho-Bionomy, a form of body work that could make the lasting changes that I was looking for. Since becoming a Practitioner of Ortho-Bionomy in 2019, I could painlessly work with structure, release trauma, and shift long standing patterns in the body. Shifts in the body inevitably bring shifts to the emotion. I really wanted a way to effectively and compassionately help clients navigate all these shifts. That’s when I found the Courageous Living Coaching Certification in 2021. Courageous Living Coaching Certification beautifully blended with the principles of Ortho-Bionomy that I was already using. This creates a powerful combination to holistically support individuals to make the changes they want to make in their body and their emotional state. I am currently finishing becoming an Advanced Practitioner of Ortho-Bionomy and am training to become an instructor.When not working, studying, or organizing Ortho-Bionomy classes for Utah I love spending time in nature gardening, hiking, exploring, kayaking, and swimming with my husband and four children.
