Gabriele Lorf-Allen

My work is informed by thirty years of somatic learning and self-inquiry by way of Awareness Through Movement, mindfulness, and meditation. People usually come to me with the desire to resolve pain or fully recover from an injury. Through Functional Integration and Awareness Through Movement my clients become aware of more aspects of their body and become more connected and clear with themselves, embodying increasingly more of who they are and appreciating life as an ever unfolding process of learning and self-refinement, the foundation to a happy and fulfilling life.

For children with special needs, I provide rich sensory-kinetic experiences that stimulates their brain and enable the child to learn new skills. I coach parents, so they can move beyond their fears and impulses to fix the child, but rather see the child's potential and support their development in a playful, and creative way that enables a healthy parent-child dynamic and empowers the child, thus allowing them to tap their potential and progress to the next level of confidence and capability.
