Mona Sangesland

Mona Sangesland came to the Alexander Technique in 2016, after years of repetitive stress injuries rendered her unable to perform her instrument with full ease and mastery. The journey to regain health of body and mind led her to complete a year of study on a Fulbright Scholarship at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland. Here she researched the differences in musical training curricula between Finland and the United States, with a focus on available resources for injury prevention. Following her completion of this program, she pursued an Alexander Technique training certification. She graduated in 2022 from The Alexander Technique Training Center in Boston, MA under the direction of Ruth Kilroy, and now offers private lessons from her home studio in Kenmore, WA.
