Elizabeth McGrail

DNP, APRN, CPNP-PC I am a pediatric nurse by background, with over 12 years of emergency medicine experience. I recently graduated from University of Illinois at Chicago with my doctorate for Pediatric Primary Care. My DNP project focused on the effects of toxic stress for neurodevelopment and I successfully implemented a program at the middle school level that helped to mitigate some of the negative mental health sequelae as a result of the students' lived experiences and build resilience. My passion is trauma based, but expands to all early life stressors and the gaps in neurodevelopment that ensue. I am very holistic in my personal life and I bring that perspective into all patient management. My goal in completing this program is to partner with a group of chiropractors who are apart of the FOCUS academy and specialize in social, emotional and developmental challenges. I was directed to your program by Dr. Sonia McGowen (who is a part of the FOCUS group) and I am hoping to expand my knowledge under her mentorship.
