Derek Husmann

MD, Fellow American College of Pediatricians InDependence Pediatrics is a Direct Primary Care (DPC) general pediatrics practice. I am an allopathically trained general pediatrician with a desire to transition my approach to a functional and integrative one. My desire is to get formal training as I am able professionally. In addition, I will likely be joining another practice (Shine Pediatrics in Dallas/Fort Worth) in the coming months, and Dr. Randy Naidoo recommended that I get training through MAPS. At this point, I am not able to provide special needs patients care beyond what a typical general pediatrician might provide, so I do not need to be listed as a referral site; once I have more training, it will be my honor to be able to be a reliable resource for such patients.
